The physics 101

What is a natural frequency?

Everything, and every system of things on earth has a natural frequency. when coupled or tuned to one, you can get some amazing phenomenon to occur.

In the case of the Harmonix, the tunable mass at the front allows the archer to dial it in perfectly to their bow.

Uniquely, vibration and energy can shortcut the string, to cam, to limb, to riser, to stabilizer pathway when you match the natural frequency of your bow.

So springs inside, will it continue to vibrate instead?

No, at the front you will notice a ring of copper, and in the mass stack under the thumb screw, you will see a magnet. Instead of rubber, we use Lenz’s Law from the electromagnetic world of physics to damp the motion of the springs. Unlike many static materials, the resulting forces are dependent on relative speed of the moving mass.

That fancy jargon just means it behaves differently than rubber and won’t wear out.

What makes this different?

This is a first of its kind device that actually “works” (energy over change in distance). There are moving components inside of this that cause the riser and bow system vibrate less.

The Harmonix takes some of the vibration and moves a mass forward to counter act the tilt of a stabilizer.

The shot was perfect. The bow wasn't quiet enough. That's the only story Harmonix was built to end.

Will it fit my bow?

Because bows vary by setup, draw configuration, and accessories, Harmonix is built to be adjustable rather than one size fits all. That tunability is what makes it a system, not just an attachment.

The mounting thread is 5/16-24, as far as we can tell, it is the most common threaded attachment system. We are developing additional mounting systems for more custom configurations.


How do I attach it?

Grab the mounting side of the stabilizer (8 sided cap) and screw it to your bow in the appropriate stabilizer location in your riser. Hand tight is what we recommend, tighten by holding the 8 sided cap only.


How do I tune it?

Simply unscrew the thumb screw and expose the washer stack. Generally, less mass corresponds to stiffer set ups. All units ship tuned to 127 Hz, aluminum risers typically are about that number.
